I was part of Kindys campaign team for several elections and was a long time personal friend. There is no way that he ever accepted any funds from anyone in a spy scenario. His lack of response has totally to do with the fact that the family is very protective of their privacy and when Alex exhibited signs of Alzheimers disease several years ago, they placed him in a private nursing home in western Canada where he is well cared for.
